A couple of days before Thanksgiving (Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!), I hung out with George at Gjelina for the afternoon. The kitchen was closed so there was nobody in the restaurant other than a few servers, Fran, George, and myself. I decided to shoot our 'baby in the banquette' series with G who was due his share of the limelight. Love these!

Curls & a Bobcat
Much like George's blue eyes, I wonder if James' curls are here for the duration. I often hear other moms tell me their kids had (past-tense) curls like that once. Oh, how I hope they are. Many already know of the lack of a pair of scissors in this kid's life but at least we got his bangs
cut so that he can actually see.
This afternoon I got out on a neighborhood walk with James, which was a real treat. He played on the Bobcat that was camped out on the street (highlight of his day) and ran up and down several random driveways all the while trying to tear out the neighbors' plants along the way.
Here are a few of him doing his thing...and yes, he refuses to look at me when I have the camera around him. Grrrrrrr.......

George in Boston
I sure do have a lot of blogging to catch up on! The last month and a half has been jam-packed and it's hard to believe Thanksgiving is around the corner. After spending 2 weeks in Detroit, George and I flew to Boston to meet the rest of the Forrelli's. The weather was great and GLove was an angel on the plane, both there and back. I was able to capture some sweet moments of him in Taryn's back yard. He was such a sport about it as we were propping him up against trees, laying him on rocks and on top of logs. These are some of my favorites.
Oh, and by the way, the cute hat is compliments Auntie Brooke and the darling outfit compliments of Auntie Taryn. Thank you Aunties!

Michigan Holga
While we were in Michigan, I really tried to use the Holga as much as possible. The results were staggered yet again, but I was able to get some images I really like, especially when I had the film cross-processed. I just love the retro feel of this camera and the images it produces. They are not "clean" and sharp like digital but seem to provoke more mystery, something completely different than my Canon SLR; it inspires me to keep experimenting and hope for the best.

Brotherly Love
Let's just say this was one of the sweetest moments I have seen in a long, long time. As we were on our way to George's baptism a couple of weeks ago, G started crying. Without any suggestions from Mommy, James reached over to hold his hand. It just melted my heart!
(It ALMOST makes me forget about the incident about a week later where James walked up to George and me and whacked him on top of the head. Poor L'il G.)
