I Promise I Bathe George Too

So far, George is my most affectionate child. James responds well to touch but George often throws his arms around me, grabs my face, and says "kissy, kissy." Well, what Mom can say no to that?! Today, as I was attempting to get George to nap (futile but necessary), he grabbed hold of me, pulled me close and began kissing my cheeks and face. "You like it?," he asked. "Yes, George. I love it."

Bathtime Bubble Portrait #2

Not sure if you remember this post but it was well over a year ago that I photographed James in the tub. I've been trying to do it again using film but haven't had the chance. Fortunately I was able to run into the bathroom with my camera not too long ago.  He no longer fits into the little blue tub we once used, and I had to use more bribery to get him to remain still long enough, but this is what I got:

7-Weeks Old Today!

Happy Birthday, my love!
Not happy with these photos technically speaking but wanted to get something up of him. He's smiling and cooing a lot. He still sleeps often and loves being held by Mama. The boys are sweet and gentle with him. He's just so precious.

A Foiled Birthday Plan

Happy 2nd Birthday to my treasured love, George! George, I love you more than I could possibly express through words. Even my heart is not big enough to contain the absolute joy you bring to my life. You are so expressive and full of personality; and you are so affectionate. Your blue eyes draw me into your world every time. I love when you grab my hand and say, "Let's go, Mama," and lately if I ask you a question you answer with "because".  You sing songs to yourself before you drift off to sleep. I just can't believe you've gone from my pudgy newborn to my big born 2-year-old!
We didn't have big plans for George on his birthday, but we at least had a little something. He's really into superheros at the moment, so I drew him an almost life-size Superman and invited a couple friends over for pizza and cake. I also planned on making him a Spiderman cake that I ran around for frantically yesterday trying to obtain the last needed items. Well, last night at about 10 p.m. James woke up totally sick with what I had earlier in the week. Needless to say, we had to cancel our birthday event for G-Love. He hadn't a clue, but I sure was bummed! We still had a good day though. Jessica brought Batman cupcakes accompanied by trick candles, and I took Superman, George, and James out to the backyard for a few instant photos before Superman gets torn or colored on by unaccompanied markers. (James is doing much better today, by the way).

I Look Huge on this Sofa.

Yes, you read me write. But, I'm posting this photo anyway because I really wanted to post something to my blog tonight, and I feel like I don't have many options. This is a moment of love between me and my baby boy. So, I'm going to try to move past the self-conscience Tamara.
It was a rough kinda week this week (and we're only on Thursday). I got a terrible stomach bug very early Tuesday morning that kept me running to the bathroom every 1/2 an hour or so for almost 12 hours. Then, I was so weak I could barely stand up straight. In fact, I didn't....until late Tuesday night. Wednesday was a good day without sickness.
But, I miss my two older sons. I spend most of my days nursing Cash and trying to do things around the house during his sleepy time. The boys spend their days at the park with Jessica or at school for James. I'm still hesitant to pack up the baby and head out to the park at 5 weeks old. Until we get into a better schedule, I sadly wave good-bye to James and George and look forward to hearing their little feet pitter patter back up to the door followed up with a cheerful "Hi Mama". I love those boys.
