2011 Favorite

This is one of my favorites from 2011. I never posted it. I love the way the light was pouring in through the silky and the breeze was making the material dance. I have some more like it but can't find the files or the disk right now.

Hmmmm.....I can't remember but James is either "gettin' a talking to" in these two photos or in need of some love. With all I've seen from him lately, most likely it's the former, but I like to think he voluntarily comes over in need of a little TLC every once in a while.

Bathtime Bubble Portrait #2

Not sure if you remember this post but it was well over a year ago that I photographed James in the tub. I've been trying to do it again using film but haven't had the chance. Fortunately I was able to run into the bathroom with my camera not too long ago.  He no longer fits into the little blue tub we once used, and I had to use more bribery to get him to remain still long enough, but this is what I got:

Happy Boy at the Beach

I finally got some images back from the lab. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to weed through and post them soon. For now, here's one that definitely brought a smile to my face. He's in his happy place for sure!

Every time we take a bath, we sing a little made-up song that has a few different versions depending on which of my family members you talk to.  My sister, Taryn, tries to correct my version but I never listen.  J loves to hear it as it adds to the anticipation of the bath.  He's always been a big bath lover, especially with bubbles (who doesn't like bubbles!?!).  Currently his favorite thing to do is to submerge himself in the water and lay very still.  I think he enjoys the sound of the water in his ears.
